The 2nd International Contemporary Art Project:
"Intermediate-communication between art, artist, people."
Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts, Khon Kaen University, Thailand
23 – 29 August 2025

The project aims for knowledge exchange between artists and academicians, with supporting program of residency, seminar, and exhibition.
Serving and Giving
-series 1, batch 2-
Stoneware ceramic
4 x 13 x 13 cm/pcs
2018 - ........

The work is about 'domestic object' : Napkin.
When we see 'napkin' (as the pattern showed), will remind us about 'serving' (to serve).
I remembered when I was a child, my mom loved to wrap food using clean napkin, this means to give (giving).

This work aimed to raise the social status of 'serving' (domestic matter) and sharing (giving) love.
We need to appreciate those who 'serve' us, and who 'assist' us, with care.
Furthermore, the work is to raise the material status of the ceramic and napkin,
which commonly categorize as  traditional and domestic material.

Timeless II (fragment of Timeless)
Wall display
Terracotta (ornament), white stoneware (mandala)
Ornament +/- 6 cm, Mandala +/-14 cm
2025

Timeless  was inspired by the relics ornaments that appeared in traditional artworks from the Majapahit era, circa 13th to 15th century. Through observation, we can learned that at that time, people had demonstrated high levels of creativity and skill, where the artworks were inspired by nature and daily life.
Timeless, which is visualized horizontally like a time-line, with a recurring ornamental arrangement, is a metaphor of the eternity of art.

*This part is a fragment from TIMELESS, which was showing for Terra Motion at Museum Seni Rupa dan Keramik.
